From the half-mountain,
a way of making.
XAVIER was founded in 2018 by master craftsman Lin Wei, whose family has worked the oak forests of northern Guangdong for three generations. The name honours the half-mountain village (半山) where his grandfather first learned mortise-and-tenon joinery under the canopy of banyan trees.
Each piece begins with a hand-drawn sketch, ages through weeks of slow drying, and finishes in our atelier outside Foshan with natural oils and waxes — never stains, never shortcuts. The result is furniture that looks better at year ten than at year one.
